Dr. Audrey Guo is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at Santa Clara University's Leavey School of Business, which she joined in 2019. Her research spans public, labor, and health economics, with a focus on social insurance, business taxation, and healthcare policy.
Dr. Guo's scholarship uses administrative microdata and econometric methods to study how public policy shapes firm behavior and labor markets. Much of her work examines the effects of state unemployment insurance financing on labor demand. Her research has been published in leading journals including the Review of Economics and Statistics, the Journal of Public Economics, the Journal of Health Economics, and the Journal of Policy Analysis and Management.
Dr. Guo holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Stanford University and a B.A. in Economics and Mathematics from the University of California, Berkeley.
