The Ignatian Center for Jesuit Education
The Ignatian Center exemplifies and activates the Jesuit, Catholic character of Santa Clara University.
We encourage our students, faculty, staff, and community to embrace Jesuit wisdom by inspiring awareness, thought, reflection, discernment, and action.
Economic justice has long been a central focus of Catholic Social Teaching. In recent years Pope Francis has emphasized the ways in which persistent inequality and poverty undermine an inclusive and participatory democracy. In Laudato Si, (On Care for Our Common Home) he further urges: “In view of the common good, there is an urgent need for politics and economics to enter into a frank dialogue in the service of life, especially human life.” Join us for season two of INTEGRAL, exploring questions of economic justice and the common good. Is there a common good in our common home?
